Marilyn Mayfly is a beautiful traditional style 61ft narrow boat with 6ft 6 inches of headroom. Built in 2007 by Paul Widdowson boat makers. The stern can accommodate a maximum of two guests at any one time.
Power: Marilyn Mayfly has a 230 volt supply up to 1500 watt suitable for charging mobile phones/ ipads etc. Please note that because all power is supplied from the boat battery we cannot guarantee the continuous availability of 230 volt power and therefore cannot accept responsibility for any supply interruptions. Lighting is low and high in that lamps and gunnel lighting is switched on from lower parts of the vessel. Main bright lighting is accessed from the switches at bow end on left side
Marilyn Mayfly welcomes her guests with complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a biscuit with a national daily newspaper. We aim to provide everything you may need for the most memorable canal boat experience.
Marilyn Mayfly provides full central heating system along with an LPG system (liquified petroleum gas) and boasts diesel / hot air heating also. A comprehensive first aid kit/ blood pressure monitor and basic first aid quick reference guide also stored in the kitchen. Car parking is available at North Kilworth Marina and is free of charge but vehicles are left entirely at owner’s risk. There is a large wide gate at the entrance which has a call operation button. Her lounge has a comfortable sofa bed which can generously sleep 2, a blue tooth lamp for extra mood lighting which can also play music via bluetooth or you can just pop the TV on. A compact table and chairs for eating or perhaps to use whilst playing scrabble. There is a selection of games for your enjoyment. All radiators have individual thermostats All TV’S have a subtitle amenity and the bedroom TV’S are foldaway. Seating for 3/4 is a sofa bed plus 2 firm, upright armchairs
Marilyn Mayfly's kitchen is kitted out with a microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, a cute gas whistle kettle and oven with a three ring gas hob. Marilyn Mayfly has everything from pots & pans to an egg timer. There is also a DAB digital radio for your enjoyment. You will find safety catches on the cupboards to protect children and your peace of mind. But if there is something specific you require, do not hesitate to let the team know well in advance and we will endeavour to source for you
She has a stunning combination of double glazed port hole windows, wooden side hatches with venetian blinds and with 12 and 24 volt options. The glorious oak interior is super cosy in the colder months. Her wooden side hatches open wide so guests can admire views and absorb the fresh air. At the bow there is a comfortable seating area suitable for up to four guests. You can sit back, relax and soak up the views . A foldaway table is provided for your convenience.

Linen and towels are provided for all beds, Duvets and pillows are hollowfibre. Linen is poly cotton and cotton. No feather products are used.
Comfy double bed has ample storage space for that extra luggage. A separate twin bed is situated at the centre of Marilyn Mayfly and offers the option of converting beds into a double if required. Beds all have foam mattresses with a foldaway TV / DVD. Bed 1 Double: 4’ x 6’ 3 (1200×1600). Bed 2 Single 6 feet long x 22 inch wide x 20 inch deep. Marilyn Mayfly has modern shower cubical and a newly fitted pump out toilet system so there is no need to worry about spending time emptying.
